PROGETTO KIUB
"KIUB Kreative Interactive Urban laB, community relations to generate common spaces" is the winning project of the third edition of the "Creative Living Lab" grant from the Ministry of Culture (Mic), Directorate General of Contemporary Creativity.
Promoted and conducted by Dance Gallery, KIUB is a multidisciplinary project of social innovation aimed at creating and redeveloping proximity spaces within residential areas through artistic practice.
The project is developed in the Il Rigo neighborhood of Corciano, a few kilometers from Perugia, designed in the mid-1970s by Renzo Piano. [Source: www.progettokiub.it]

MAPPATURA INTERIORE
Ho partecipato al progetto realizzando una grande installazione pittorica, work in progress insieme agli abitanti del quartiere, in due fasi, la prima nei giorni 13, 14 e 15 maggio, quindi il 10 e 11 giugno 2022. Esplorando il Rigo ho individuato un luogo centrale, denominato il Vecchio Circolo, abbandonato da anni, un tempo ritrovo di giovani e abitanti del quartiere. Ho deciso di realizzarvi la mia installazione, cercando di coinvolgere parte degli abitanti con un'azione di volantinaggio e tramite i social. L'evento era aperto anche a partecipanti esterni al quartiere. Chi ha aderito presentandosi sul posto, è stato da me fotografato con lo smartphone, quindi di seguito ho stampato la foto ritratto su carta formato A4. La stessa persona ritratta ha potuto modificare creativamente il proprio volto fotocopiato, tramite colori, tecnica collage, e altro. A disposizione davo loro: colori acrilici, nastri adesivi colorati, vari tipi di colla e carta, insieme a tante fotocopie parte del mio repertorio di immagini. Ho utilizzato questi ritratti come soggetto e materia della grande installazione pittorica che ho contribuito ad alimentare, e lentamente ha preso forma e si è espansa occupando spazio.
La stanza è stata occupata da colore e immagini, colore e immagini, colore e immagini...me stessa come attivatrice, produco materia senza sosta. (giugno 2022)
L'installazione rimane nel Vecchio Circolo, visibile dall'esterno grazie alla grande vetrata, a tempo non determinato.
INNER MAPPING
I participated in the project by creating a large pictorial installation, a work in progress together with the residents of the neighborhood, in two phases, the first on the days of May 13, 14, and 15, then on June 10 and 11, 2022. Exploring the Rigo area, I identified a central location, called the Old Club, abandoned for years, once a meeting place for young people and residents of the neighborhood. I decided to create my installation there, trying to involve some of the residents through flyering and social media. The event was also open to participants from outside the neighborhood. Those who joined by showing up on the spot were photographed by me with a smartphone, and then I printed the portrait photo on A4 paper. The same person portrayed could creatively modify their photocopied face using colors, collage techniques, and more. I provided them with: acrylic paints, colored adhesive tapes, various types of glue and paper, along with many photocopies from my repertoire of images. I used these portraits as the subject and material of the large pictorial installation that I helped to fuel, and slowly it took shape and expanded, occupying space.
The room was filled with color and images, color and images, color and images... myself as an activator, I produce matter tirelessly. (June 2022)
The installation remains in the Old Club, visible from the outside thanks to the large window, for an undetermined period.
